AD: Etsy Shop Closing

After lots of prayer and thought, I've decided to close my Etsy shop. Sales have been slow at best, and I just don't have time to make new stock or to do the promotions that are necessary to make this thing work. The pressure of trying to be 'creative on demand' is just not working for me. So, I'll stick to what I love to do, and make my money elsewhere. I have plenty of beads and supplies as well as fabrics, etc., to keep me busy for a LONG time, and now this will free me up to do the projects I really want to. Thanks for supporting me in the effort. I will still continue to take custom orders, on a case by case basis.

In the meantime, I'm having a year-end clearance sale. Everything in the store is 30% off. when you go to check out, just put CLEAR30 in the notes section, and I'll be able to take that discount off for you. When the items expire, they're gone forever, as I won't be relisting.

Again, thanks!

Etsy, as a venue, isn't a bad one. In fact, for the most part, I think it's great. If I had time to "work it" as it needs to be, I'd probably do fine, but the truth is, I just don't. I've decided that my family comes first, and I don't need the pressure of the shop hanging over my head. I still love Etsy and will continue to shop there, because I support the artists and believe in the vision.

Good luck with your future endeavours :-) The jewelery category on Etsy seems really competitive, and I dislike having to schmooze it up on the forums because I don't like the forum format and they're waaaay too busy.

Best, Christine

and had my first sale last week! I will be adding supplies beginning In Jan since i have tons of things to sale and ebays gotten really not a great place for the small business person! They owe me 11 dollars you think when i closed my shop they would retun my money nope so i going to put up a few things there sometime in the near future to us that up they were a bit costly for a shop i thought and nickle and diming one to death! It isnt easy but if you add something every day just one item i was told it helps so i will keep that in mind I kinda hope you stay for a bit and take some out and add new! But thats just me I plan on working it slow and easy i too have a life but i also want to sell!
