AD: Infamous One Cent Protest Auctions Ending Soon! - Tink

The end of the Infamous One Cent Protest Auctions are ending soon! There are some really nice pieces available, and time is running out to stake your claim! Support every artist's right to price their work as THEY see fit, without threat of badgering, whining, harassment or poking by others.

:-)

Snipers are welcome and encouraged. LOL!

Ahhhh, but what will happen next? Will Tink continue to start her auctions at one copper coin? Will she buckle under the pressure and allow others to dictate her starting bids? Will the Disgruntled Artist who took exception to Tink's business practices poke Tink with a verbal stick yet again???

For the answers to these questions and more, stay tuned! In the meantime, please pay one last visit to these auctions before they ride off into the sunset forever...

And the lesson we've learned from this story is:

Think before you raise a Stink with our Tink!

We're proud of you, kiddo. We love your beads and we love you, and we totally support your decision to market your art as you wish.

P.S.: Pennies are no longer copper. They're made of a plated zinc alloy. :-)

Thank you, Kath!

Something happens to me when I feel as though I'm being bullied, and it isn't pretty. RCB is the only place I felt safe enough to go public with this whole icky thing, and you guys didn't let me down!

The whole pricing thing is very emotionally charged, but I maintain that it's one thing to underprice your work, and another thing altogether to start auctions at low prices. That is, after all, how auctions work, right? LOL!

I'm still debating what my future course will be regarding this. I'm quite tempted to continue doing what I did this week. Besides, no matter what prices we put on our work, it's the buying public that ultimately sets the price.

I knew that pennies were no longer copper, but had no idea they were plated. Ewww.

'Zactly. It's not really my style, hence the lack of inspiration. But it's good to stretch, so I really should follow through!

Would it be your style to stretch the description? There's a Ngaio Marsh murder mystery with the title "Died in the Wool", about a dead body found inside a bale of wool on a NZ sheep ranch.
