Welp, 1 day left on my four auctions and no bites yet.
They are all kits containing semi-precious stones, silver, sead-beads and/or ceramic beads. A couple of them have suggested projects, the other two are open ended sets.

last time I put up somewhat similar auctions I sold 3 out of 4. Was Ijust lucky that time, or is something not right with these auctions, Iwonder? Maybe the prices are too high, though on several of them I would loose money at these prices (I need to get a little back so that I can be in on Kathy H's Bali order!)
I looked at a couple of your ads and I think a few key words are missing. That might be why you aren't getting any bites. Maybe try bead kit, beading kit, etc.

I don't like any kits, so I can't make any useful suggestions. But I wish you luck.

Hmmm - the kits are lovely, the auctions are very nice.... I would say that it probably is just slow on eBay right now. Hopefully you'll get some last minute bites - I always get bids during the last five hours or so.
I looked at your kits when you first posted them, and they are very nice. There is one I want, and I will probably bid on it now since I know I will have a bit of money available to pay for it if I win it.
I think that Kandice may be right though...it does seem slow on E-bay...granted I haven't sold anything on E-bay in a good while, but I have noticed that things that used to sell fast like Tink's stuff doesn't seem to go quite as fast as it used to.

This is VERY true. I was just talking to someone about this today. Of course, I figure in my case that at least a part of the reason could be that I've increased my starting bids. I used to start at 99 cents, and that always worked very well for me, but in these times I didn't feel like I should take a chance.
Not to mention the fact that I got snotty emails from someone who shall remain nameless because of the 99 cent thing. Sheesh.
Anyway, my opening bids are my wholesale price. The buy it now is typically my retail, though sometimes I set it just below retail. The logic there is that I have wholesale clients that will buy whatever I have. Thank goodness!
I bet it was from someone who often begins their auctions at 99 cents and thinks they "invented" that starting price and therefore nobody else should use it. Sheesh is right!!!
Because it was "lowballing" other artists who preferred to ask "fair market prices" for their work, and it was "dragging down the whole industry". And I should have more confidence in my work than to start it so low.. That, and more.
Thats a wierd response. I thought your low opening bid showed a high level of confidence. Hutzpah even.. balls...whatever you want to call it. Well placed confidence I might add. Diana
Nope - it's called being confident in your work to know that it will go for more than 99 cents, and avoiding eBay fees. They're just jealous that you can do it, Tink, because your work rocks and we all know it will go for way more than 99 cents. If they don't like it, too bad. I mean, Corina starts her bids at 99 cents for goodness sake - and people cannot say she's dragging the industry down! Same with Bluff Road! These two are top notch artists. Heh. I am soooo on a roll here.
Yep, and so are you. It would only drag the industry down if you were selling substandard goods. Ya, that'll be the day! You keep on keeping on.. Diana
The only thing I would dislike about such a low opening bid, is that if I'm looking at eBay's listings, and don't know that the seller does professional work, I might dismiss a 99 cent start, same as I would the 50 beads for $15 listings.
I was looking at your title on your auctions and I just wanted to tell you that when I go looking for beads, I just type in the words "beads" in the search and other people I know who buy beads on Ebay, thats how they look for them to. Maybe if you added the word "beads" to the title, you'd get more hits on it.
I liked the way you had more than just one big picture of the stuff. I like seeing what I am getting close up if I can, especially when there are more things than just one in the auction. You had a close up of the pendant, and the bali and the toggle, and then one big picture with everything. The pictures were clear enough to be able to see everything even in the bigger picture, which doesn't always happen. You listed out what came with the kits, and you stated your shipping charges within the US. But I do agree that you would probably get more hits if you had the word beads in your title somewhere, that way it would come up in a search of titles and descriptions.
Well, seems like some people are just scanning the world for things to be sour about. This seems a particularly petty one, so don't give the criticism any more importance than it has earned. Which is none at all.
Well, the 99 cent auction that I posted a couple of hours ago has had five bids already. Most of my other auctions are doing well, too. Maybe it doesn't matter what the starting price is. I'm guessing it's just one of those unanswerable questions. LOL!
