AD: Reclaiming My Sense of Humor

Hello!!

I have launched some more auctions this afternoon. A couple of lampwork pieces and a lot of poly work including my own dragonfly cane piece. Some BIN items, and some are just regular auctions. Strands and multibead sets in a range of colors. I tried to reclaim my lost sense of humor when writing the text, so I hope that at least some of you will get a little tiny laugh.

Thanks for looking, Juanita

Juanita,

I think a whole lot more people would see and bid on your work if you had pictures on your seller's list page. Usually if I can't get an idea of what the item is going to be, I don't even open the page. It just takes too much time, and your pages don't load quickly at all for me either.

I'm not sure how I do that. If it has to be done through e Bay pix, forget it. It takes me eons to load the pictures to them and then the quality is really bad. We have a practically nil connection here and they told us yesterday we can't get satellite internet because of all our trees.

Thanks for the input though, Juanita

Yeah, I can get the little sattelite service for TV or anything here either. I'd go ahead and get the pipe, in spite of the cost, but it's not available here either.

Actually, all you need to do is add the gallery pic for 25 cents, and put in the URL of the pic where it is hosted. Ebay resizes it to a thumbnail, and it appears both in the gallery and on your seller list page, as well as in the category listing. In my experience, this more than doubles the amount of bids and is well worth the 25 cents. Especially since the majority of listings in the categories you list in have these pics, so buyers tend to look at them more and anyone who lists without them gets lost in the shuffle. You can go back on all your current auctions that don't have bids and add the gallery pic.

OK Folks,

I took your advice and added the gallery pics to most of the auctions. Some of the lower openers I left alone just to keep the fees down. I sure hope you all are right about this since I just increased the fee for each auction quite a bit.

Thanks, Juanita
