Bead and other news and new blog entry

I think I posted about the woman I met in the fabric store who asked me to trim her dress? Pretty sure I did. Anyway she had her dress made and brought it over the other day. I'm netting the bottom in a fish scale pattern and trimming just above the hem with osterich feathers (provided they still have some left in the shop, going to check it out today).

A Canadian friend (who I met when she was on a work visa in Aussie, she worked with DH), is an ornithologist and is starting up a site for other bird lovers. She loves my flower kittens and has asked me to paint some bird caricatures for her site. I feel very flattered to be asked.

I finally got some more amethyst seed beads so I can finish my free form cuff. I've got quite a bit of time off over Easter, so anticipate finishing it this weekend.

When I finish dress and cuff, I'll post pics on my site.
