Beautiful Beads by Karen Leonardo

I don't need to say another word. Just look:

I did have a hard time deciding which set to link to. Take a peek at all of them if you can.

Thank you... *beaming*

Still... her cabs make me want to try fusing even more than I already do.

They are lovely beads, but she's doing herself a tremendous disservice by posting the first two photos as bitmaps. They took a very long time to load on my dialup connection. Unless you're a fanatic (like most of us are) you might get tired of waiting and move on to someone else's auction.

A few suggestions for those here who are doing the web and don't already know this:

.jpg formats for images are usually best for the web, although .gif formats can be better if there isn't complexity of color. (Better in this sense meaning maximum clarity with the smallest possible file size.)

Do your image enhancing (sharpening) at the higher resolutions or with larger image sizes, but make sure your final image is saved in the size you want to display and at 72 ppi. You can do a second sharpening after you've lowered the resolution so that your photo has maximum clarity.

Browsers don't display images at a higher resolution than this, so the only thing a high res image does on the web is take longer to load. This all becomes less and less an issue as more people switch to DSL and broadband, but lots of us are still on dialup.

So **that's** why it took so long to load! The beads are really well done, but I am not as fond of their photography. The lighting makes it really hard to see the beads.

Mmmm, I like that set before... she does great work, and I LOVE the little built-in "bead collars" she does.
