Yet another mass-produced bead source. Listed as being in the US, who knows where the beads were made? Hands up anyone?

Bueller?

At least they don't claim to make them in a studio or anneal them... yet.

Call me stupid...but WHY do people do this? This seller has 100% positive feedback. Are they reselling someone else's bead, or creating knockoffs and using her picture?

I'm not getting this... Mary T. 8-)

They are using photos of other artists' beads and putting them in the auction gallery to draw people in and then using photos of the actual beads in the auctions.

So the answer is 'B'.

And why?

Money. Pure and simple.

I was tempted to BIN this myself. The detail photo was used for the thumbnail and also within the ad, and was a picture of a bead that fetched at least $15. I would have happily paid the $10 for it if it were a resale. At first I wondered if the other picture was just a poor photo of the same bead. Perhaps, when the customer gets the bead she would think the prettier photo simply had ideal lighting or something and showed details she could see in the light she has at home.

I eBay messaged the lady and told her I thought the photo was inaccurate so that she could ask me in private email. She didn't bother to. And I didn't want to get involved with a war with the seller by discussing it on eBay.
