Thanks Tina! I'm particularly thankful this year - 'cuase we move into our house tomorrow!!!!!! One glitch with the seller, but our lawyer's dealing with that. We did the pre-closing walk-through Saturday and everything's in great shape and just as lovely even with no furniture/decorations. I can't wait to get started and make it ours!! [Once I get over the fatigue of all the packing/unpacking and obsessing :-)]

DH says thank you. I think he is grateful I have my wonderful newsgroups to keep me off the streets and gainfully occupied. :-) Diana

Do they have a folder with "mechanical" information. Boiler/heater, stove, fridge, water heater? What kind of heat is it? I'm real happy with our oil heated hot water base board heater. By heating around the edges, the heat is more even.

I think, even with everything still undone, you will sleep with a relaxed smile when you get into your house.

I'm hoping there will be a binder or folder with all that info. The seller is a super-organized person from what we can see, so I suspect it'll be there waiting for us. The house is forced air - the furnace is older, so we will probably replace soon to get better fuel efficiency. Here pretty well everyone heats with natural gas. But prices are expected to go up, up, up this winter. Good for my brother in law who builds geothermal heating systems ...

Yep - I wish I could afford one the the systems his company installs. Right now it's mostly the big mansion folks and industrial applications. Hopefully it will get a little less pricy soon. I'd love to have a combo of geothermal and solar. The solar may be possible for my studio - I'm exploring a solar heater - made in Newfoundland no less

- that might be a good heating solution for my studio and is not too, too expensive.
