Hi from Diane

Hi Gang! I just wanted to post a small apology to anyone who might have been offended by my "Tips for Beadmakers" Page on my website. No offense was intended. I would love to clarify a few things.(1)I love to write, but I do not claim to be any authority on grammatical correctness, format, etc. I used to be better before I got fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, but now that the "fog" has set in, things don't always come out the way they should. Please forgive me.(2)I am not trying to be Corina-ish. I owe her a great debt for her having published my work in her book, and my "nod" to her on my website is just a small way of saying a BIG thank you to her! (3)My writing style IS my writing style. Not meant to be snobby, but hopefully slightly humorous. Okay, occasionally snippy. But that's only during PMS. I try really hard not to write during that phase of my month. And I have removed "the names". I hope those of you with a sense of humor who saw the names, appreciated that I meant them no harm, just spouting a little. My website has never had as many hits as before it became a link on WC, so, yes, it WAS just a little extra page that was meant to be helpful, NOT SPITEFUL. Sorry if I repeat myself a bit or talk in circles, I was just trying to be thorough. I did not create an outline for the page - it came straight out of my head. OOps. (4) I do not Schill. I didn't even know there was a thing called schilling, etc. I do not bid on sets I wouldn't want, although I've sometimes won sets I wish I hadn't. (5)I am really thankful to all the Lampwork Artists who have written to me through my website to thank me for this page, and I want you to know how much your words, and your fine work and your talent mean to me. People often ask me why I don't try to make beads myself. I have several reasons. Expense, time, very low energy level due to the CFIDS/FMS, and that I wouldn't get to "play" with them if I was making them, would I? I understand your passion, I am passionate about your beads, too. So please, in closing, take my site and my page in the spirit of which it was intended, as a friend, a fellow artist, a chat over a cup of tea or something stronger if needed...an encouragement for you to do and be your best, and to have a great year. God Bless You all, even the ones who wrote some nasty things in the thread! Have a super day, Diane :) "A scoffer seeks wisdom and does not find it, But knowledge is easy to him who understands." Prov.14:6 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge....."Prov.1:7

Hello Diane! If you read all the posts about your page, you'll notice that we all agreed you make some very good points about auctions, whatever we individually feel about the writing style.

Thank you for the information, and for being very upfront and posting here. You provided us with a lot of things to think about, and that's a very good thing. Sarajane

I guess I'm humorless but thank you on behalf of artists everywhere for removing the names.

Well it was one heck of a marketing ploy. ;=)

That was my comment about Corina, and I apologize for being snotty. Goddess knows I should really keep my mouth shut more often than not.

Blessed Be -

I disagree. I think it shows a lot of character to admit one was wrong with making excuses. You my dear have that and you've just proved it.
