I've lurked...now I need help!

I've been lurking (with my hubby) for about two weeks now...and man do I feel like I know a lot of you already! But now the time has come to end the lurking...I need help! I'm trying to fill a wholesale order for my hemp jewelry (I do low end glass jewelry too) and I can't recall where I bought one of my beads! I'll try to describe it, and hopefully someone will recognise it.

It's pewter, silver tone, and it looks like a diamond bent in half to form two triangles, with celtic knots on either side. It's made so that you can slide it onto your chain (or hemp, in my case) and connect a charm or dangle to the ring below it. I don't even know what this kind of bead is called..a slide bead? a self linking bead? a connector? picture a rounded edged triangle that is side drilled, with a loop below it, celtic style....if someone tells me how to post a pic, I'll post one of the few I have left. TIA! :)

Roxan, you're great! I read the posting a couple of times, and couldn't figure out what the heck Candace was talking about.

Candace: The bail you're looking for is at Rings and Things:

There are to very similar bails with that Celtic design: part 41-844 and Part 41-840. Take a look and see if those are what you need.

And BTW, welcome to the R.C.B.!

You can't post pictures here, but you can post a link to a picture. Just cut and paste the URL from your browser window. HTH

And WELCOME to the world of posting-on-RCB! Glad you stopped lurking -- be sure to post often! ~~ Sooz

Well, I went to aol and made a homepage just so I could post ONE pic (and a really bad one, but it's usable) I had just figured out earlier today that the stinking things are called bails, and I found two sources for them on the web, but am looking for better ones. The ones I found are a bit pricier than I'd like. ANyhow, the bail is on the bottom part of the pic.......

If anyone knows of a place to purchase these, I'd be very grateful for the link(s) Thanks! Candace

have them at a price I'm not overjoyed to pay....I looked at FMG, but they don't have the exact style, and I think those are SS, not pewter :( If I could only recall where I bought the ones I have from!!! Arrgghhhhh And it should be really easy to remember, too, cause my buying options are severely limited (I live in the boonies of Missouri) and I know I've never bought pewter from E-bay.

Oh well, I guess I'll have to bite the bullet and fork out the money...I'll still be taking a profit, so what's my problem anyways? (I know what my problem is...I hate paying shipping costs for something I know I can get without it) Especially when I only need 8 of them to complete that portion of my customer's order.

Thanks anyways :)

You will find that the prices for all base metal as well as silver will be going up, so all new catalogs will probably have higher in them. Roxan

Lovely :( thanks for the information, tho!! I'll keep that in mind when I submit my next designs to my customer....perhaps I'll stick to artwood beads from now on.

Artwood beads? Do they have a website?

i believe artwood beads are a style., not a brand name. take a gander on ebay, i think i've seen styles there.

well - now you have us confused... because the bail is just a bail....

the "celtic" looking thing that is technically at the "bottom" of the page is not a bail - that's a pendant....
