This reminded me of YOU:
Could it be cuz I love purple? LOL But $30 for shipping? Seemed a mite high.
I had to go and look too, purple is my fav as well. I thought the shipping was high as well, but it is a pretty set.
I bought my "bed in a bag" from him. It was $36 for the winning auction bid, $29 for the shipping. The whole thing was very affordable. LOL.
LOVE IT and I'm buying two more next week -- one for my boyfriend and one for his son!!!

Whooops no, I bought from a different seller. Kinglinen. Same shipping, however.
I just priced an item I'm selling that weighs 31 lbs (not a bead LOL) and it was $16.50 PRIORITY to ship. You can't tell me it costs almost twice that much to mail something I know probably weighs half that! I'm kinda testy about that. hahahahahha... On the other hand, the reason the price is so low is that they make up for it by overcharging for shipping!
the USPS (and others) has something called dimensional weight ...
- and they got minimum and maximum sizes, and all kinds of stuff. I was looking into shipping 5ft trees to a neighbor island, I can't even find boxes that are big enough.

The package I'm mailing is the same size as a comfortor would be and I entered the dimensions in the USPS website.... so I still don't see how it could cost twice that much to mail something lighter!
Ah. You didn't say that it was as big in the first post. I was just thinking "bedding=large volume even if the weight is rather low".
