netted amulet bag instructions?

Ok, because I'm a computer idiot and maybe not the best at searching (I have been looking.), has anyone seen a tutorial for a netted amulet bag on line?

I've netted a couple of ornaments, so I think I understand it. I just figure there must be some instructions out there that I haven't found yet.

Thanks,

Jerri, A simple way to do it is to start out with the width you want the mouth(opening) to end up. As you go down add width as desired until you get the length you want. Then just decrease the same way you increased until you are back to the size opening you wanted. Fold in half and stitch sides together. You can either make the flap/fringe as a continuation of the last side or finish it and add the flap/fringe to one side. Then do a spiral strap for it. Hope this helps some. Armand

Lol. I felt like you just went over my head, but if I go back and read some netting instructions, I think I'll understand.

did you want to do horizontal netting, or vertical? I have instructions for an amulet bag made with horizontal netting.

If you decide that you enjoy netting, try Diane Fitzgerald's book _Netted Beadwork_. It has excellent instructions and contains several patterns for amulet bags. The little rose on my latest necklace is a strip of netting that has been rolled up along the bottom. I found the pattern in Diane's book.

I think horizontal would be what I want. Wouldn't that be working top to bottom?
