as long as he manages to keep his jealousy under control, he stays in her good graces. my sister and mother seemed to really like him when he drove down with Jamie for my niece's HS graduation. and he IS the first one to treat her really well.

but the whole bead store thing really threw me for a loop. she sounded confuzzled and i was laughing!

going to need to make something for him before he arrives near the end of August. he's going to drive south with her, fly from Sacramento to NY to visit his parents, and then fly back into Sac a few days early to spend time with us and help her drive backl to Seattle<

**yeah!** for a change. the DRIPS the child brought home for a while really worried us. she saw something in each one she thought worth "nurturing", but finally figured out that it wasn't her job to "save" them.

Ooops. Jealousy is a red flag for me. If it passes as they get closer, fine. It could just be insecurity with the new relationship, and melt away in time.

But if it doesn't, IME people who are afraid to 'lose' you to someone else tend to be folks who think they ought to be able to control you, in order to prevent that. Can get fairly scary. And sometimes give real reason to be scared.

If I were Jamie, I would tread carefully with a chronically jealous person.

oh, she is. she's told him "I was just fine before you arrived, and I'll still be fine when you're gone. Get a grip." she has always been one whose friends have been mostly male. one, maybe two, girlfriends. it seems to be VERY hard for some males to handle that. but thankfully she has no intention of giving up control of her life to ANYone.
