OT: Info about Colarado?

Hi Everyone! I'm back... Again! My computer died this time and I had to buy a new system! anyway my main question for this post is ..... Anyone live near Vail - Colorado? my eldest daughter is heading to the USA, and will be working at the ski fields at Vail this winter. can any one tell me what it is like in that area, naturally I'm been a nervous mum, it's a long way from home, at least while she is traveling in Australia it's only a few hundred dollars to get her home if something goes wrong! and of course she wants to know if there are any bead shops she should go to ( beads are in the genes )

It is beautiful beyond words. I hope she has lots and lots of warm clothes! Also, she needs good driving-in-the-snow skills. I moved from So. Calif. to KY in the middle of winter. I had to learn to drive in the snow very quickly. She will meet people from all over the world in Vail. And she will have a wonderful time. Don't worry mom, as long as she uses common sense she's safe. Barbara Dream Master

To ease your mind or maybe not, some of the very best orthopedic surgeons live and practice in Vail. It's a beautiful area that my mom and dad love to go in the summer. They can't now because the altitude affects dad.

I hope housing is included in her compensation. I hear it's hard to find affordable housing.

Hi Susan, as far as I know she will be "live in" at the ski lodge that she's working for, her boy friend has also applied for a job over there so they will be traveling together ( whew! at least she's not all on her own! ) a girl she is working with at the moment traveled to Vail last season, so she is telling Hayley about her experience there. I'm just been a worry wart!

When my mother was 16 she traveled to NYC alone to see a publisher for her book. Then she had to borrow money and cab fare from the hotel owner because she's spend all her money on a snuff box she found in a store. $10 or $20. It was a Faberge. (Very simple).
