OT Went to see ROTK again

Oooooooooooo! I'm finally going! DD is spending the night with a friend on Fri., and hubby and I are going! We've had plans to go, and my daughter's Godmother even offered to babysit so we could go, and then we got sick, and then she got sick, and now she's on a cruise (even though hubby tried to tell her that she couldn't go on a cruise until we got to see ROTK! Hmph. Some friend she is, right?).

I can't wait!

There's one specific part in the movie where I cried like a little baby, and it had to do with bowing. I don't want to spoil it, but people who have seen it know what I mean, I think. It's towards the end. I sobbed and sobbed. My family (12 members were with me, on Christmas Day) thought I was insane. LOL

Thanks for the reminder not to wear mascara and to bring tissues. Dh and I are going tonight to see it for the first time. Yay!

I haven't seen it yet, but I heard it's wonderful. Since I'm off tomorrow I might get up early and go to the theater. I just don't like crowded places and lots of folks. In the morning is the best time to go.

Me too! We have to go when we can go though, but Fri. night is not when I'd choose to go! Hubby and I (before child) always had weird working hours and usually went to the early matinees. It was cheaper and we liked the lack of crowd!

I need to see it one more time (that'll make 3!). Just so I feel as though I took every opportunity to see it while it's on the big cinema screen. I cried like an idiot. In several places.

Peter Jackson is a genius.

The whole trilogy is incredible. I remember taking my kids to see one of the Harry Potter movies and seeing the poster for Fellowship in the lobby. I went on and on about it until the kids asked me what the deal was. I told them I had been waiting 30 years for someone to make LOR into a live action film and they better get it right or I would kill the director.

Needless to say, Peter Jackson doesn't have a thing to worry about from me.

And I don't see how it is possible, but he made each one better than the last. Can't wait until Nov when the extended version will be released. I wonder if they are going to issue the trilogy stitched together into one looooooong movie? Looking at the way the end credits were done on ROTK, it leads me to think that.

LOL As we were going into the theatre I felt accosted by many of the posters! Yuck!

Then go now Starlia. We went on an off-night on purpose so they had pick of the best seats in the house. There were 12 people there last night and we all sat in the same area comfortably! Go, you must see this one on the big screen, it's bloody fantastic!!

We went to the 7:30 showing, also almost empty.

I noted that too. Didn't you just love the drawings?

I remember seeing an article in Newsweek, before the first movie, and I thought, "Elijah Wood? He's not a Hobbit!" Ewwwwwwwwww! What are they doing?"

Boy was I wrong!

I wanted to go today, but it doesn't start until noon. With Trinkett so sick, I thought I could catch an early movie and be back before she even got out of bed. No luck and she isn't feeling great yet.

Darn it!

Hehe, that's funny, I thought the exact opposite! I felt sorry for the poor guy, because for the rest of his life, people are gonna see Frodo when they look at him ;o) Don't know how I'd feel if the whole country thought I looked perfectly like a hobbit, but I suppose being a part of such an amazing piece of art such as that trilogy would be decent compensation ;o)

I sat next to a teenager on the coming back from BABE. He looked exactly like the illustrations and descriptions of Harry Potter (quite different from the movie star).
