Re: i need some help with this one

I would embellish the link a bit with some beads top and bottom. Not sure if I like the wire wrapped around the elephant - is it necessary for structure or a design decsion on your part? I can't tell if the elephant has a whole running top to bottom or if the wire is holding it onto the looped wire part.

BTW - good to see you back on the group!

I actually like it the way you've wrapped it, Vicki. The half-round looks great around the elephant!

no (it's a 'razorback') doesn't have a hole - that's why the wire wrap. and only wrapping it once, means it falls out. if you see what i mean . . . there are two of them, one for each side of the necklace.

]I was thinking this too. At the least, one bead below his belly.

he's going to have beads on both sides, something like:

Ah - I see now! Well, I think that the way you have it is fine, but do add some beads or dangly things below his belly to dress him up. Nice design!

thank you - this has been haunting me for months, now. the loop below his belly will hook up with the rest of the necklace.

Instead of the wire you could take the school colors in seedbeads and make a harness or a centerbelt. Is there anyway to show the top of the razorback since everyone thinks it's a elephant.

I think that's due to the size of the ears and the fact that the snout turns up at the end...

exactly. i had to go look it up, too. maybe she just WANTS it to be a razorback. i think that "up at the end" is supposed to be the tusks at the end of the snout, but it could also be an artist who didn't get it quite right. i don't think they have that big curve on their backs, either. but she's happy with them - now i just have to make her happy with the necklace.

**grin** not to me - the tusks are in the wrong place. but then, she's something of an airhead, too.
