our daughter was like that. She's in college now. But I still prefer having one who's a monster (your words, not mine) at home and perfect elsewhere to one who is the opposite. Our babysitter (I have been working full time the whole time and still am) had one of each. She says it was like the two switched personalities when they went out. Except for a few relatively short phases we were always able to take our daughter any place that allowed kids.
