Re: Pricing advice sought

Hi

My wife is looking to sell some of her handmade jewelry (or jewellery since we're in Scotland)

I was wondering if there's anyone here who can suggest a guide price for the UK/US markets and whether it's more useful to attempt to sell solely via my own site or whether it's also useful to list on ebay.

Is there any suggestions on what resolution of image online is recommended?

(I still have to uploads descriptions, prices etc) thanks

Hi, I think your pictures are a good size, maybe one more magnified version that shows the detail of the stone, wire or beadwork.

I think ebay is not useful at all for finished work, galleries and shops can be helpful though. Craft shows or boutiques can be a good way to go depending on the locality. With jewelry I've always found it sells best when people can see it in person.

Pricing varies widely, you have to pay your expenses and your time, then there is what the market will bear. It always requires a bit of flailing around to find out. Start with what you'd like to get and adjust downward if you have to.

I can't really help with pricing, but your wife's work is lovely!
