Re: Skin health for jewellers

One other thing to look into are the skin sealants. Some are much better than others. They form a molecular barrier with the skin that last about 3 hours through washings etc. A medical supply company may know the name of one or maybe a beauty supply house. I used to carry one for sale to medical and emergency personnel called Dermashield. It was great stuff.

Does it transfer to the metal? I find that grease is a barrier to solder I never use a moisturiser on my hands if I have to handle anything I'm about to solder because the grease transfers.
