Stuff shown on Carol Duvall yesterday...

Yesterday on HGTV there was a lady on The Carol Duvall show that demonstrated how to make a spiral bracelet. I have tried to do it a couple times but those teeny, tiny seeds, well I just have a hard time working with them. So I'm thinking about trying the 10/o beads to see if that makes a difference and if I still can't work with those, I'm going to try some 6/o ones just to get the technique down. It looks so darn simple and I just can't imagine not being able to do it.

Also on another episode there was a woman who makes enameled jewelry pieces and she said she bought this simple kiln many years ago to melt the ground up glass and it cost her just $19 or $20 and that is what she still uses today to makes her pieces. Anyway, I was really drawn to her stuff and it doesn't look all that hard.

Cool. I really want to learn this and actually seeing it being done made it seem pretty simple.

Pam makes it look like you can do it with your eyes closed! LOL! She *really* got me wanting to play with it!

I keep missing Pam's episodes, darn it. But I did see this lady. She had her own unique way of applying the enamel in a dry form and making teensy detail show up ... it was amazing, but I doubt I'd have the patience (or eyesight) to do it.
