Too Early For Spring

I know it's too early to be thinking about Spring, but the weather up here has been less than pleasant. I can just image what it's going to be like once it starts snowing; you won't see me again until the tulips bloom. Springy things take my mind off the weather.

Anyway, a friend of mine saw the silver-lined pink opal seeds I got and decided that she needed a necklace to go with all her pink t-shirts:

It's never to early for a necklace as *beautiful* as that one, Arondelle.

:-)

BTW: Where is "up here"? It's cold down South today...

"Up Here" is New Hampshire. It's not only cold, but rainy (as in "downpour") and windy (as in "Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore."). Hurricane Wilma, Tropical Depression Alpha, and a nasty low pressure center from Ohio all got together and decided to do the Perfect Storm thing together.

The last thing we need around here is more rain. They only just finished repairing the bridges that had been washed out by the flash floods a couple of weeks ago, and the rivers are still only an inch or two below flood stage. It wouldn't take much to get them out of their banks again.

I can't wait until winter when this will also involve snow. Not. :-p

I read about flooding in New England but didn't realize that you were there. I can understand why you don't want any more rain! Hope you stay dry...
