~~~~~~TIP~~~~~~ Use your test stitch outs to make Victorian type Stockings! Trim your stitch outs to squares, diamonds or rectangles. Lay on a piece of muslin or other thin cotton fabric and put pieces of ribbon or lace to cover the edges. Use a zig zag stitch or some of your fancy machines stitches (use metallic for more glitz) to hold down the ribbon and lace. If you want a padded stocking, add a layer of batting and backing fabric before stitching down the trims. Cut out your stocking and use a pretty fabric for the back. You can add beads and other trims to make the stocking as fancy as you wish. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
