Bernina Artista 200e/730

Notwithstanding the fact that sales ads don't belong in these NGs, there is just so much fraud going on on eBay with the computerized Berninas, You'd have to be exceptionally careful buying one on eBay, especially when it is listed out of the US. People lie about the number of hours these machines are used all the time so any seller is capable of doing the same, especially since only authorized Bernina dealers are supposed to know the codes for getting the computer to show the number of hours of usage.

Often the seller will reveal the number of sewing hours and that will often be quite low because the machine was used only for embroidery. The embroidery hours are listed separately and are not included in the straight sewing hours. That is very misleading. The number of embroidery hours can be huge and really have an effect on the entire machine since there is a good deal of vibration with embroidery. Bernina warranties are not transferrable AFAIK. You should only trust the number of hours used if certified in writing by an authorized Bernina dealer.
