Hi Elizabeth, I cannot help you with the buttonholes, I think we really do need that value pack. But I just tried the borders, and you don't need special designs or a special hoop for that. I used a simple scallop design from a floppy, 4 cm long in my 10x10 hoop, and that worked. In fact, you can use any design with this feature, not only borders. If you have a single flower, for instance, then you can repeat that several times, so it becomes a border. The software lets you decide how many times you want to repeat the design (usually as many times as it fits in your hoop), you can change the dimensions of the design and the distance between the designs. The great thing is, at the end of the last design, it adds some aligning stitches, the middle of which is your starting needle position after rehooping. Although with this particular test I did, the designs slightly overlapped, so you must do a test first to see how it works out. My machine did stop after each design (I couldn't find how to change that, and maybe it's just not possible), so switch off the automatic thread cutter. There were also some other features that I didn't understand, unfortunately I don't have the pdf.

I've heard that we're not supposed the have this feature, and in the next upgrade (4.01) they will remove it again. But they will have to come with some great improvements before we install the next upgrade, won't they?

By the way, the fore-last (is that english?) upgrade (I think it was version 3.02) had some great features too, so don't go back to 3.0!

Another by the way: did you know there is a Yahoo group for the ULT? You'll find it here:
