For those lucky people who got V4 (I have now put V4.01 on so I am too late) do you think it is worth buying the border kit. I am really interested to know if this utility can be used with any borders or if it is only the borders in the kit and are they one size. Liz
Hi Liz - you can "retro" the programming in your machine... If you have a copy of 4.0, you can reload your machine.
The kit includes the "4.01 required hoop" and 50+ designs,b but also includes the ability to take existing designs and use them to create your own border designs... As long as the designs are 100mm or less wide, you can use them to create your own - it will assist you in determining number of repeats, allow you to adjust spacing, etc.
If borders are your thing, it may be well worth it to have the kit (due to the certainty of future machine updates).

I have an Ellageo, I downloaded 4.0 from the Brother UK site, will this work in my Ellageo? Or will it screw up the machine? Are the upgrades interchangeable between Brother and BabyLock?

Well, I can't speak from experience between Brother and Babylock, but I got 4.0 from the UK site as well, and it worked fine on my ULT... Beowulf
