Calibrating Janome 9000?

Hi, my SIL has a Janome 9000 and I thought I had seen on here at one time how to recalibrate it and retime it? I know you hold down 2 or 3 buttons, turn it on and press the + signs in sequence and then turn it off and do the same thing 2,3, or 4??? times. Her outline seems to be just a bit off on all designs.

I had it before she did, but that has been a number of years back and I just cannot remember. I know I even saved it, but where?? Who knows? CRS kicking in on me!! I have the 10000 now and am sure you do it the same way, I have just never had to. So like they say if it aint broke, don't fix it.

Before she bought the machine for me, I had never had a problem with it. But, since I had had it several years and I wanted to make sure everything was honky dorry, I took it to be serviced. Since I live in a remote place, the closest and only dealer around for over 200 miles was a Singer shop. The man told me he was very familiar with the computerized machine and serviced them all the time. However, since then, she has complained it was just not right. Any help would be appreciated. And I know, you don't need to tell, take it to an authorized dealer, just was not possible.!!

Thanks Vicki

That recalibration is only for the touch screen...to make sure that when you press stitch one, you don't get stitch two.

Sometimes, not having enough stabilizer, or not making sure the fabric is well-hooped can cause the outlines to be off. We've even run across some designs that didn't stitch out properly.

I'll do some checking and get back to you.
