Digitizing in Janome 10K

I am digitizing in janome 10K. I have scanned a picture and everything went well, but the middle of the picture which is as sq. with a basket in the middle of that will not digitize. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Mary

Mary,

I have had this same problem with the automatic click-to-stick or click-to-design buttons. After experimenting I believe the problem seemed to occur when there was a shape that was long and thin in a section. If this occurred it would either not automatically digitize this shape or the next shape within. The only way I found around it was to either divide the long thin shape into sections in the original picture so that it could automatically digitize it in one go, or manually draw the missing shape in the digitizer. If the thin part of the picture can be widened without affecting the look of the picture this may also help.

Cheers, Janet

You should go to

... Upgrade it to the latest. The last two upgrades did a excellent job of problems like that.

Can I also recommend you do two passes on your images? The automatic features for one pass, then a manual on things you don't like.

You may also want to use "details" in the automatic with a couple of variations. I find that double run seldom works. Satin stitches can fix the fill problems you are having. Satin line looks best, but it may not give you what you want.

The TAB and SHIFT TAB makes it very easy to jump between objects.
