Emb on Leather

Any tips on digitizing for leather??

How should the stitch density be?

What should the pull comp be set to?

Thanks in advance.

Density slightly lower, according to quality of leather - or else you will perforate your design out. This is trial and error.

Pull comp none, since leather is the most beautiful material to embroider. It doesn't stretch at all!

So also be minimal in underlays. Spray (slightly! it sticks as hell!) a piece of tearaway and lay your leather on top. Stitch slow with a thicker needle since you want to punch a hole where the thread can travel through. (or else dreaded loopies!)
