Embird and Hoop Size

I just bought the large hoop for the Brother PE-150. Which hoop size in Embird is this hoop. There are several label "large" but I can't tell which I have. My manual and the Brother website are no help. The manual says the large hoop is 182 x 110 mm and the web site says its 172 x 100 mm. And neither corresponds to a hoop size in Embird. I'm pretty confused about whether or not a design will stitch out in the hoop I have.

You will still need to split the design though - the PE-150 can't sew anything out larger than the large 4x4 hoop it comes with. Embird helps you do that with the large hoop (I know, I use the giant hoop it all hoop with my Pfaff 7570). I still have to split the design, but Embird sure makes that a piece of cake, and alignment is now a breeze. Just wanted you to know that just getting a larger hoop doesn't give the PE-150 the capability to sew out larger designs. K

I have a PE 150 as well. The one that works shows as a Brother/ Babylock (and a few others I think) 100 x 100. I've tried using other sizes and they download on the card OK but the machine throws a hissy fit as soon as you turn it on.

I can't help you much with the design splitting because I'm still working that part out myself. I know how to split the design and how to put it back together with the alignment stitches but I don't know how to add tie off (sealing stitches when you leave part of a design) or tie on stitches(sealing stitches when you start a design). I asked a while ago here but didn't get any answers. Maybe it's time to ask again.

Humm, I have Embird 8 build 6. In Editor, Insert there is Basting Stitch, Cross Reference Line and Aligning Stitch. There doesn't seem to be a Tie On/Off. Do I need a newer build?

Thanks
