Help, which initial on a scarf?

I am getting ready to finish a last minute gift and am not sure which initial to use. I am embroidering a knit scarf and would like to stitch out the large initial with the flowers that comes on the Brother and Baby lock machines but I am not sure if I should use the initial of the first name or last name.
