Logo / design placements on shirts - is there a "rule"

When you place a company logo on a t-shirt, sweatshirt etc, is there a rule about the placement of the logo?

I'm really just guessing it now and afterwards thinking "should that be more left?" etc.

Do the pros place it in a certain location every time?

and as a supplementary....I have hus customizing. I always print out the picture of the design and then place it right where I want it on the shirt etc....right in the crosshairs. Take it to the machine...start the needle dead center and it works beautifully. Ok...I'll shut up now

I was just told by Hussie that my customizing is so old it won't work on XP!! I am DEVASTATED! Thanks for the tip page on placement! I printed it out and boy is that going to help me!

What program do you have? I have the original HUS customizing and just got a new computer a few months ago with XP on it. Took awhile, but I finally managed to get it to work on computer. Had to go to Husqvarna's website and download XP drivers etc. to update it. HTH
