Memory Card Problems

Hi all. I have a Brother PE-400D and for the first time today tried to use a blank memory card with designs I had written to it with PED Basic. When I insert the memory card and selected it I get the error message "this card cannot be used" The card is a Brother and certainly compatible with my machine. I have tried different designs in case the ones I tried the first time were not the correct format. Same result everytime. Does anyone know why this is happening?

I had this message on my PE200 when I had too many stitches in the design. I had made an error in PE-Desing so when I changed the size of a large objest I hadn't used "stitch to block" and the number of stitches wasn't changed (it was one of my first digitizing attempts, workes out great once I read the instruction better). Have you checked that the design is really within the design field? I don't suppose you know someone else with an machine that takes your card that you could try it with? Or vice versa. Run out of ideas! Good luck and let us know when you find out what the problem was.

Silly me, I figured it out! When I selected the design I forgot to select a smaller hoop size, and wrote it with a hoop size that was larger than my machine takes. Once I changed the hoop size and tried it again, it worked!

Thanks for your replies! Peggy
