New designs and freebies - Quiet books!

Quiet books are cloth books that are usually very time consuming to make, but not on the embroidery machine! You can stitch a whole page out and finish the edges in the hoop, and when you have a number of pages finished, tie them together with ribbon or cord. Some pages have flaps on them, and the flaps are sewn out in a separate hooping and then taped on for the main page, and the machine sews them on too!

I have three different sets of quiet books:Pictures and Rhymes: this set has picture pages where youcan applique a cloth picture (instructions are included toget the picture onto cloth) onto a page, or make a pocket insertto put a regular photo in - these are perfect forkeeping a person who is far away familiar to a baby. The rhymes are just fun.Learning Pages: this set has pages where a child can actually dosomething, and learn something! There are closure pages where achild can undo buttons and snaps and zippers, a clock page withhands that really turn, a phone page with a dial that turns, analphabet page with extra alphabet "blocks" that can be matched onthe page, a tic-tac-toe game and more!! Paper Dolls: this set is just so much fun. It includes designs to make two "paper" dolls (a dog and a cat), and their clothes and toys, as well as 4 different "scenes" for them to play in - a house, a party, a farm and a bedroom. There are themed pockets to store the extra pieces (clothes and toys) for each page in. Very cute! Even my 11 year old daughter keeps sneaking into the sewing room to play with that one!

The prices are the same as previous sets - $20US. And if you buy one of the sets, you can get the other two for $10 each.

These all require large hoops (145mm x 200mm). I have added a free set of small blank pages that will fit a 100mm hoop though. Check for them under the freebies.

Have a look, and let me know what you think!!
