Pretty flower embroidery

I saw some embroidery at a JoAnn's today at their Husky/Viking center. I'm not sure how to explain it, but I'll try.

There were was flowers that stood out from the material in a looped fashion. The lady said you satin stitch a circle then cut off the bobbin threads underneath. They were really pretty. Is anyone familiar with this or know of a Web site that gives detailed instructions on how to do it?

Thanks!

You need a specific design that does the looping for cutting later. I am not sure which designers to point you at. Bernina has a collection called "Tassells and Trims". These designs make the loops and you cut the bobbins for the tassells. Nana

Oh yes, that's it! Do you know if there are instructions for how to make the effect of fringe?

Thanks!
