Software advice - Tajima DG/ML 10.0

Hi, group. Sorry to subscribe, post, and hopefully run, but...

I have some software for an embroidery machine. It is Tajima DG/ML by Pulse English version 10.0.

I have a big fat manual, 3 CDs, and a USB license key thingiemajig. It was given to me in payment for some work I did (on the understanding it had Adobe Illustrator included in the package--but I can't see that it does), but I have no way to know what this is worth, don't have a use for it, and can't find the right place to sell it, apparently.

Can you all point me in the right direction as to how to unload this before it becomes worthless to more people than just me?

Thanks so much,

As far as I know you could upload it or make hundreds of copies and give them away to everyone you know but without the USB license Key dongle the software is worthless. The dongle is the security device and it has the value. I am not sure what that software is realy worth but unless you also have a commercial embroidery machine it has no value to you. Also if what you thought you were getting was something near the same value as Illustrator then you have probably got something more valuable but with a way more limited customer base way fewer people need that software and I doubt they would buy it for any where near what it is realy worth since you do not know if it works?

Thanks for your reply.

I have the dongle.

Yes, it is worthless to me, but I thought it might not be worthless to someone else who might have the machine but not the software.

I hand embroider and have no interest in machine embroidery, but she thought she was giving me ADOBE Illustrator, which is something I need for some graphics design work. That's why I accepted it as payment for some work I did.

I'm just wondering if there's a secondary market for software.

There's a dedicated sewing-related site here:

You may have just a lettering program. But, you may also have editing or digitizing.

To find out what it is, call Gaby at the Hirsch International office in Cleveland. Give her the dongle number and she can get the information of what you have. Also, make sure it's not stolen.

Once you have the level of software, then find out how much new software is. After that, sell it on ebay or

You have anywhere from $1,000 to $10,000 setting there in your office.

Good luck.

Actually, that is a fairly expensive piece of software if it is the full version. I demoed it once but I am a Wilcom gal and it's hard to beat the best. Go to eBay and list it under the embroidery category. First go to the website of the software and get some pictures of it to display. You'll sell it. Just go about $ 500 cheaper than anyone else who has it up for auction. Type in Tajima / Pulse Embroidery Software in eBay's search box and see if anything comes up. Then you have a basis of comparison. MoonlightMojo wrote: I just sold a piece of my software I didn't need anymore and I had a lot of bidders at all times. Yoyo
