New versions of StitchBuddy's embroidery suite are released today:
StitchBuddy can modify and convert embroidery files: Patterns can be flipped or rotated, thread colors can be changed and you can convert embroidery files into other formats. StitchBuddy is shareware. You can test the application and all its functions without limitations, but afterwards please register your copy and purchase a license code for USD 25 via PayPal.
StitchBuddy-QL is freeware. It previews embroidery files directly on your Mac! As a QuickLook plugin it integrates seamlessly into the Finder's Cover Flow, Spotlight and every Quick Look enabled application like Apple's Mail. StitchBuddy-QL provides a list of used colors including color samples, a design preview with pseudo-realistic
3D effects and it is localized.StitchBuddy-MD is freeware, too. It's a "Spotlight-Importer", extracts meta data from embroidery files and enables Apple's Spotlight to search for this data: Height and width of an embroidery design, its number of stitches and colors. With Spotlight it is not only easy to locate files: You can use "smart folders" and discover a new and very efficient way to organize your files with Apple's Finder.
All applications run natively on Mac OS X 10.5 and support the following embroidery formats (to be continued):
