Vectorial files and embroidery software?

Hi vectorialized mates :)

Does anyone know an embroidery software that accepts vectorialized files like .ai or .eps?

It's a mess to have a file in vectors, convert it in raster and then re-draw it with the embroidery software.

Thanks :)

I haven't seen an embroidery generator that does a great job on any file format yet. You typically have to indicate what stitch density, direction, pattern, size and may other parameters for each section to get a decent pattern. This means redrawing or at least redoing 90% of each of the sections parameters.

Hello. in my experience PE-Design isn't very professional, so i was looking another tool. As you said everything we have to redo the 90%..okay..but can you suggest to me at least a good professional software?

People speak well of Wilcom and of Tajima.

Thanks!

was just at a presentation by Corel where they briefly mentioned=20their embroidery product, but I can't find it on the Corel website. I've also never seen anyone offering to demonstrate it live anywhere.

What level of Wilcom would that be though?

I saw a quick demo of Corel at a show a few years ago and it looked nice but didn't view long enough to see what it really put out or ease of use. After purchasing their drawing products years ago I would approach very aprehensively. The menus were done by muddleheads and had no user layout smoothness.
