Glass Axis is pleased to welcome visiting artist Laurel Hagner, to be in the studio July 29th through August 1st.
Pate de Verre with Visiting Artist Laurel Hagner- Through the processes of creating a model, applying a high temperature refractory mold, "glass paste" application, firing, and glass finishing, each student will create one finished project by the end of this class. Some history on the process as well as some technical information - such as different types of glass, annealing schedules, mold materials, and the vast realm of possibilities using the kiln to form glass - will be included. All materials provided (additional, more exotic, colors for use during the workshop will be available for purchase). $300 for 16 hours of instruction.

31Laurel Hagner, the Visiting Artist in July, will be in the studio for a week, practicing various techniques and available for questions and observation all five days. Laurel will give a public slide lecture on Friday, August 1, at 7pm. Laurel's work can be viewed on her website at
