I know this may seem obvious to you old pros, but I thought it was clever. I had a mold for a slumped panel that was an inch too wide for my big paragon kiln. What I did was prop up the entire kiln on one end with a few 2 x 4's so it was on a 40 degree angle. This enabled me to position the mold inside so it was more or less level with the ground, and it worked out fine. Now if I only was better at mold making, all would be right with the world.
