Glass etching equipment - advice please.

I want to expand my home business to do some glass etching (small awards, wine glasses, etc.). I have a sand blaster, but I have been looking at photo resist films and UV exposure units at companies such as Photobrasives and Rayzist. I would love to buy the Letralite Exposure Unit, but $300.00 or so is a big investment for me right now. Has anyone tried to buy the UV black fluorscent lamps and build a photo resist exposure unit? I have been researching this and hitting dead ends trying to find out what type of ballast is required, etc. It appears that Sylvania makes the lamps, but they say they don't make the ballast. Also, have you had better results with one vendor's photo resist films over another's? Any advice appreciated! Nancy ( snipped-for-privacy@cox.net)
