Painting A Window?

I would like to paint the interior surface of a window in an apartment with one solid color. Eventually i will have to remove this paint. Is there a paint avilable that can be removed with the minimum amount of trouble?

Have you considered instead of paint shelf paper or other contact paper? There is even contact paper with beautiful stained glass designs. :)

I don't think you're going to find any paint that is removable with a minimal amount of work. Seems it would be simplier to just put up some blinds or drapes. Actually come to think of it, I see some houses and apartments that use tin foil to cover the window.

the question is why the OP wants to do this. if it's to just block out light, there's lots better ways. for one, styrofoam cut to the inside of the window would block both light and heat better than paint.

Radio Man,

Artistic Glass painting can be done with the Pebeo paints. They may be expensive for broad areas, though. The Virea 160 must be baked at over 300* F to be permanent; if unbaked, it can be washed off with soap and water. This may be sufficient for your permanent-but-removable application.

If you just want a white overcoat, you might look at latex paint. It can easily be scraped off of glass with a razor blade / paint scraper, and may adhere to glass for a few months.
