Solar garden lights

On my back gutter I have a metal lantern with a solar cell, battery and LED that collects energy during the day and lights the light after dark. We won it as a door prize. The amount of light on this one is about what a candle would give off. I have found a couple of sites with variations on this one (including TARGET.COM), but I think it would be neater with an all glass globe underneath the light. Anybody done this? Anybody know a source for an already assembled battery, solar cell and LED unit (not a kit of parts)?

The loose energy unit or the lanterns? Everybody has the lanterns.

can't you just take one apart? they don't work all that well, from what i've heard. early failure, dim, and affected by cloudy days.

Well, my moral sense cries out at tearing apart a perfectly good something to build a different similar something. And the ones I have seen are square while I would prefer round. And it would be nice if they cost less. The directions for the one I have suggest the switch should be turned off about once a month to allow several days of charging. I agree they arn't very bright, but then neither are candles.
