All,
We have just bought a pair of U-shaped coffee tables that fit together in a variety of interesting ways. One of these gives a 120cm (4') square table with a 40cm x 40cm (16" x 16") hole in the middle. My fiancee would like to purchase a 50cm x 50cm (20" x 20") sheet of acid etched glass to cover this hole.
I have called a number of glass companies here. One recommended 6mm sandblasted glass, one recommended 5mm toughend glass, and one said "don't bother, it will break no matter what you use".
What are peoples opinions on this? Should be forget about it, or is this doable. If so, what glass thickness should we use?
Thanks
Matt
