Very efficient. I got my concentrators for about $200 each, and even if they die in a year (unlikely) they will still have saved me money over tanked oxygen. I get a very large, hot flame either on my top or bottom burner (Nortel Midrange w/Minor top) that handles boro easily. Running them has not added significantly to my electric bill, which, with three computers, a kiln, and the oxycons, still only came to $44 last month. I linked them with a plastic T and 1/4" clear tubing, both from Home Depot, about $3 for all.

Considering that a regulator and quick disconnect would cost you around $70, a tank would cost you around $100, and fills once a week or every other week would cost you $12-$25, you're saving money almost right out of the gate. I torch 12-20 hours a week. One of the benefits I love most is the peace of mind knowing that I won't run out of oxygen. If one concentrator dies on me, I'll just use the other one and do smaller work until the replacement arrives. Since you're focusing on boro, you might want to eventually buy a 3rd for backup so you don't find yourself unable to work if one dies.

You CAN do small boro with one concentrator, but you wouldn't enjoy it.

So you run two concentrators together to get enough oxygen flow for boro?
