who has used 63/37 solder?

I just learned that I can get 3 kilos of 63/37 solder here with relative ease.

Is it worth my while to do so? What's it like?

thanks,

Arlene

I betcha 3 kilos of solder isn't the ONLY thing packaged in kilos that you can get easily in Turkey, eh?

What is that, 6 rolls? Go for it. You'll like it. I use it all the time.

There's not much difference than the 60/40 It just solidifies a bit sooner.

Camel Dung?

Anyway, higher tensile strength and lower melting temperature, and nearly zero "pastey" range. YOU remove the heat, it freezes. Too tight a range for me, go for the 60/40 if possible. Somebody there has it, they make carburetors for 1958 cars there, they make solder....
