Catching up with you all

Well, the BIG HOCKEY weekend is over - the state championships. DD and her team came in third overall. They just didn't bring yesterday morning.

I did stitch bit on my current WIP - Herbal Essence by SP Ink. Whom I have to contact as I not sure which color I'm supposed to back stitch with! Now that I have about 4 large cups of tea in me, I'm going to go over the instructions again in case I'm just missing a note somewhere.

And later, I'm going go review all the Nashville offerings and the Celebration of Needlework classes. No school this week, it's snowing lightly and I don't need to be ANYWHERE for many hours. Yes - there is housework stuff to be done, but that's ok. Sorting socks must be good for my karma!

Sorry to hear. But, there's always next season. DH is busy working High School play-offs, and league play-offs. Last night he did a high-school play-off game at 6;20, telling me "I'll probably watch a period of the next game" so when I hadn't heard anything by 9:15 (no dinner yet - he was bringing it supposedly) - well I called. Never say the refs aren't into it. The entire crew from his game (which is 4, cause for play-offs here there are the 3 on-ice, and a back-up who acts as game supervisor/just in case) was watching the game - which was 1-0 in the 3rd and ended 2-1. Cereal for dinner. My comment - fine when you hang-out -juet give me a call and let me know.

Good for you. I actually sewed a hem by hand yesterday - and actually had to use a thimble. DH's new ref pants - I tried to do on the machine. Did 1 leg with the blind hem foot/stitch. Didn't like how it all worked, so frogged it, repinned, and did it by hand. Poor guy had to try them on about

5 times with pins, etc as I worked thru one, then finished it, had to repin the other leg, etc. After all that - honestly, I think it's better to do by hand (though a bit slower) with these bulky, awkward items - he tells me that he may have not actually had them at the right waist height (they're held up with suspenders) and I may have to let them down. Ugh.

But I do plan to stitch on something today... Finally not coughing/sneezing as much so should be okay.

Nashville? Maybe you'll inspire me to housework. Back to laundry right now.

Having had to mend/repair lots of kids gear, without an industrial machine, by hand is the only way to go!!!

I'm undecided about any other the Celebrations offerings class wise - will do the Saturday night event with the gang!

I'll do a separate thread for what I liked from Nashville! There was a fair bit.
