Closing

Just wanted to let folks know I have closed my shop in Helen, GA. I still have my web site that I will now have time to work on and email orders still work.

I hope to have another b & m shop soon. Possibly in Calhoun, GA where I would have access to a much larger customer base and not have to depend on tourists. This gas shortage finished me and several other shops off after the high prices of the summer already hurting us.

Sorry it didn't work out on the first attempt, and I hope some other opportunity presents itself soon!

Thank you. I am not giving up! Buchanan is on the backside of nowhere so my choices for a new shop will either mean a 30 minute or more drive each way if I find something near home or it will mean me living somewhere else again while my DH stays here. I'm not crazy about either scenario.

If I open one anywhere right now I would have to buy a business license for the rest of this year and then another in 10 weeks, that is if the place goes by the calendar.

We are considering a couple places but I think that I will sit tight until the new year...unless something irresistible presents itself. I rather hope it does. I really miss having a shop.

All my stock and fixtures are in a warehouse. I got one big enough I can set some racks up and navigate around it...when I get over being sore and worn out from the move. I am working on my website and inventorying my stuff. I will be lowering some of my prices from 'tourist' to 'regular folks' rates. So, I shall keep busy...but it ain't the same!
