They're not whitework at all, but what do you expect from someone who posts adds to non-commercial groups?

I didn't see the original post at all -- which means that it was filtered out at the server, since my personal kill filters are all "mark read".

Been on vacation, been busy, been here and there. Daunting thing, keeping up with this group, you know. I've been mostly only reading new posts, which is how I tumbled on that one.

Hope you are going to stick around for awhile, at least until term begins. How are the furry members of the family ?

And if you order something that has to cross the border, watch out. They all charge a fee (which can't be quoted in advance) and it generally works out to US30/40, on top of everything else.

I will not bid on ebay unless the seller guarantees that they will ship USPS. I must add the seller is generally unaware that the courier companies add this on, though many larger dealers on ebay know now from feedback and warn customers.

I have had not problems, I aways email the person before I bid and ask the postage and packaging to my postal code. some reply with exorbitant postage rates. I do not buy from those who inflate the postage rate. Having received things from all states and with fair postal rate , no extra charges. If some one quotes $15 for postage and I know from past experience it will only be $3.80 then I do not bid. I think some people are making their money by quoting inflated postage prices. So I am happily buying but then mostly needlework book, patterns and fabric. Ruby

BINGO. Most people don't know what it should cost to ship things that weigh more than a couple ounces.

I happen to know that you can ship book rate inexpensively, so anyone who tells me they want a huge amount to ship a book, I assume that they are willing to sell this book for 2c because they're going to get $5 or $10 profit off the shipping.
