Final Celebrations Report

First, I had a blast. Hung out with stitchers, stitched, talked, shopped, bought....

OK - some kind souls bring unloved books, charts and fabrics to find new homes. I nabbed a charts of ladybugs (no laughing), Great Blue Herons and a free chart of an Art Deco window and a piece of oatmeal colored aida.

THings I bought - one bag of the Dove Stitch fabrics, two pieces of wildly dyed wool felt, Hinziets Warm Wishes, a sweet penquin and (separately) a piece of fabric to stitch him on, 4 grab bags of floss, a yard of ladybug trim and another ladybug chart (from Country Cottage). I had to leave the three companion charts behind, but they will be coming home with me. I see them as a really great bell pull.

Took two make it and take it projects - neither strictly "needlework", more like fun with fabric or with fabric and heat bond. (love that stuff). One was a little card pocket - just large enough for your license and/or credit cards. Or if you're me, a package of needles and mini snips. The second was a "Puff Pin" made with scalloped circles of fabric, folded, sewn together and "fluffed". It is VERY CUTE.

Saturday Night was fun and tasty. Went to Great Harvest CO so many times, I got an extra punch just for bringing folks in.

I'm off to read and eat my cookie. I have a Panera card and I earned a cookie and free drink.
