Finish, and Caveat

Found the perfect gift for a friend (who doesn't even own a TV) -- The Posy Collection's "I cannot live without books" bookmark.

Most of it stitched up easily, simple block letters, no shading on the stacks of books.

And then there was Thomas Jefferson's signature... damn near every stitch began and/or ended at a halfway spot. I don't mind piercing the Aida blocks for partial stitches (just use a thinner sharp needle), but the counting was making me crazy. If the enclosed fabric had been linen, I would've just recharted it, one box per thread, but since the kit was on Aida, that probably would've confused me even more.

The good news, there's enough floss in the kit to stitch it a second time for another friend.
